As we are not medical experts, we always forward your enquiry to the surgeon for advice. Based on the information you supply to us, the surgeon will recommend the most appropriate treatment in Belgium. Very often, the surgeon requests additional information in order to assess your case and the options for treatment abroad more accurately, to decide on the best course of action and to be able to estimate the price for surgery in Belgium more accurately. Relevant information includes: - Copies of X-rays (we suggest to take pictures of X-rays with a digital camera and to attach them to an email, or to burn them on a CD and send the CD by post)- Results of CT or MRI scans (please send us a copy of the CD you have received; otherwise follow the method described above for X-rays) - Reports of previous examinations, consultations, scans, etc. - A summary of the relevant medical history, past surgeries, etc. - A list of the medication you take (e.g. pain killers, anticoagulants, ...) and the reason for taking it - Body parameters (weight, length, BMI or Body Mass Index *, ...) - Age. Rest assured that all the information obtained is treated with the highest degree of confidentiality. If you prefer, we will give you the email and postal address of the surgeon so that you can send the data directly to him. * Please use the BMI calculator on http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm) |
